For years a favourite vacation spot for Vancouverites, Bowen Island is  a 20 minute ferry to Vancouver & has grown into an increasingly popular "up-market" home base for those willing to commute to Vancouver by ferry.

With a year-round resident population of some 3,000, the Bowen Island population swells each summer as visitors arrive to enjoy the hiking trails, lakes, beaches and unspoiled forests.

Island accommodation is not plentiful so if planning an over-night stay, reservations made well in advance is a must.
