Whitehorse is not a ferry port but is included on this site because so many travelers driving to catch a Skagway or Haines ferry, (operated by Alaska Marine ) travel through Whitehorse.
The City of Whitehorse is another product of the gold rush era as it was originally a center for services to the miners.
Architectural examples from the era can be seen around town as well as examples at the Beringia Interpretive Centre, MacBride Museum and the beached S.S. Klondike.
Hot springs and winter skiing make this town an all round destination.
